Selah: to pause and meditate

In our media saturated culture, meditation is nearly impossible. On any given day or night that I try to quiet my mind, I have to wade through scores of scores - songs in my head, commercials, laundry lists, errands, conversations I wish I could change. Give yourself a chance to be quiet. Have a cup of coffee on the porch or go lie in the grass with your kids. Give yourself an imposed quiet time to just breathe. Five minutes is better than nothing. It's not about emptying your mind, but making room to listen.
